Festus-Crystal City Elks #1721 hosted a clothing give-away
Festus-Crystal City Elks #1721 hosted a clothing give-away on Saturday, August 17 at their lodge. Over $20,000 worth of new brand-name clothing and shoes was donated in conjunction with Tri-County Vets In Need. Nearly 100 Veterans were served! In addition to the clothing, there were VSO’s on hand and helped get benefits for some who attended. The Festus-Crystal City Elks also provided hamburgers and hot dogs to the attendees.
Sept 2024 – Veterans Resource Fair
The 2024 Veterans Resource Fair will be Saturday, September 14th from 10am to 2pm. See flyer for a partial list of vendors attending. We ask veterans to please bring their DD-214, valid ID card or another proof of service. Family members are welcome to attend with their veteran. 1515 Miller Road, Imperial, MO, United States, Missouri.
Donations to Jefferson Barracks – December
We got word 2 weeks ago that Forces for Food, a pantry located at Jefferson Barracks was in dire need of donations for their December pick up. They provide boxes of food for Veterans and families of those deployed. We put a call out to our members to help with donations. Today we delivered a big load of food and 2 checks totaling $489 to the food pantry! I’ve attached a couple of photos for you! The first photo is Mike and I presenting the checks to Director Linda Ferguson. The second one is our members Debbie Travers, Kathy Brimberry and Dave Reinheimer with the food that was donated.
Veterans Appreciation Dinner – Nov 4th
November 4th, Meramed-Arnold Lodge # 2372 had its annual Veteran’s Appreciation Dinner serving 150 veterans and guests. Pictured East Central District Veteran Chairman Mike Belevich. Guest speaker included MEA State Veterans Chairman Darrell Quinley.
